The resort's background, build timeline and day-to-day operation in central Helsinki.
From the first plans, Fennia Palace was designed as one venue combining overnight stays with gaming. The Lapuankatu 4 plot previously housed light industrial buildings; these were cleared between 2009 and 2010.
Build work met Finnish codes for mixed-use hospitality and regulated gaming. The completed building holds eight guest-room floors over ground-level public areas: gaming floor, dining halls and wellness wing.
Autumn 2012. The first overnight guests checked in during September. One week later the gaming floor opened under the same licence.
Two hundred forty rooms following the 2015–2018 expansion. One hundred eighty at opening.
Roughly eighty-five thousand square feet split across three connected zones. Tables and electronic machines both on offer.
Shifts covering twenty-four hours are run by front-of-house, kitchen, housekeeping, gaming and security staff.
Every gaming operation runs under Finnish law and the supervision of the relevant national authority. Entry to the gaming floor requires age verification. Responsible gambling materials are shown at entrances and kept at the guest services desk.
Room numbers and guest details stay private unless the law requires disclosure. Cameras watch public areas only. Recordings are kept per the schedule set out in the privacy policy.
Heating and cooling were upgraded in 2022. Guest-room water fittings are low-flow. Waste sorting points sit on every floor and in service areas. The property takes part in the municipal energy-reporting scheme.
Part of the food supply comes from regional producers. Occasional ground-floor public events appear on the events page. Local vacancies are posted via the reception desk and normal recruitment channels.
